Vida Ceremonias
Celebrant
Vida Ceremonias is the celebrant practice of Lucy Dyer, who writes and leads ceremonies in English, Spanish or both. She is based on the Costa Blanca and travels across Spain, with the Balearic Islands among the places she works most often.
What they do
Vida Ceremonias is the practice of Lucy Dyer, a bilingual celebrant who writes and leads weddings, vow renewals, elopements and commitment ceremonies. She is based on the Costa Blanca, not on Ibiza, and travels for weddings anywhere in Spain; the Balearics are one of the regions she covers most often. She also leads funerals and baby namings.
Her site lists 18 years working in weddings and events and more than 500 weddings led.
Bilingual ceremonies
Her main strength is ceremonies in English, Spanish or both. She writes bilingual scripts from the first draft, so mixed British and Spanish families, or entirely international guest lists, follow the whole ceremony. Bilingual delivery is included in the fee.
How it works
It begins with a video call, then a questionnaire you fill in at your own pace. Lucy writes a draft and you revise it together. Before the day there is a rehearsal or written walkthrough, and she brings a backup plan in case of bad weather. Rituals such as a sand ceremony, handfasting, unity candle, wine box or rose ceremony can be added, as can a family or cultural tradition.
Her ceremonies are the symbolic part of the day; the legal marriage is registered separately. See our guide to the symbolic ceremony.
Weddings in Ibiza
Her site names Ibiza venues where she has led ceremonies, including Elixir at Cala Codolar, Can Frare above San Antonio Bay, Amante at Sol d'en Serra and Experimental Beach in Ses Salines. Testimonials on her site include an Ibiza wedding in 2026.
