Amanda & Denis at Six Senses Ibiza

By the Ibiza Wedding Inspiration editorial team · Updated 23 October 2026

Amanda and Denis wanted the sea, a sunset and rooms for their family in one place, and found all three at Six Senses Ibiza. They married among the rocks by the water, dined on a sunset terrace and finished in the hotel's own club.

The couple

Amanda and Denis came to the search with a clear brief: a view of the sea, a good sunset, somewhere their family could stay, and a setting that felt luxurious without looking artificial. With well over a thousand possible venues on Ibiza, that is the kind of shortlist that benefits from local knowledge. Planned by Bliss Ibiza Weddings, the search ended at Six Senses Ibiza, the resort on the cliffs of Cala Xarraca in the north.

The ceremony

Every beach on Ibiza is public, but the hotel's position gives it a stretch of rocky shore that feels private, and that is where the couple chose to marry. The set-up mixed two moods: relaxed, with low poufs on the sand in place of rows of chairs, and elegant, with a generous amount of white flowers. Nothing competed with the water behind them. If you are planning something similar, read how a symbolic ceremony works alongside the legal paperwork.

Dinner and party

For dinner the guests climbed to a terrace that faces the sunset. The tables were dressed with chandeliers and white flowers, with local touches threaded through: pieces of sabina wood, the island's native juniper, and shells collected on Ibiza.

Six Senses is one of the few hotels on the island that sets no end time for a wedding party, and it has its own club on site. That freedom showed in the evening's line-up, with live music at dinner and entertainment that carried on through the night rather than stopping at a curfew.

The details

  • Poufs on the sand instead of ceremony chairs
  • White flowers in quantity, kept simple so the sea stays the backdrop
  • Chandeliers over an outdoor dinner
  • Sabina wood and island shells on the tables
  • A club on site, so nobody needed a transfer to keep dancing

Good to know

A large hotel can still feel private if its layout keeps the wedding away from other guests, and Six Senses manages this because the buildings follow the rocky landscape. The resort has several spaces, from intimate ceremonies for under 50 guests to celebrations for more than 150. Ask early about the getting-ready options: the Cave Suite sits close to the ceremony and dinner areas, which helps with hair, make-up and outfit changes. Every supplier works to fixed set-up times and access routes agreed with the hotel, so the logistics need careful coordination, especially if you bring in bands or performers.
